Dorothy Mallona


Mrs. Mallona teaches high school Spanish I and II as well as sixth grade Grammar and Greek and Latin Roots. She moved with her family to Texas in 2016 and is honored to call Texas her new home. She received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio and her graduate degree in Special Education from Peabody College in Nashville, Tennessee. Mrs. Mallona has taught in rural Kentucky, a Catholic school in Managua, Nicaragua for six years, and in various public, charter, and private schools in Central Florida. Her husband and she are blessed to have four children who never cease to surprise them with all they are capable of. They all love a good, spicy salsa, and watching anything John Wayne. Of all the schools, Mrs. Mallona has taught in, she claims Founders has unrivaled camaraderie and support. Most of all, Mrs. Mallona loves her students, whose desire to perform well in academics and character appears unstoppable.
