Hunter Jackson

Biography

Mrs. Jackson is a violinist, violist, conductor and educator who is dedicated to sharing her passion for music through the rehearsal and performance of professional and fun literature in a warm, cooperative, yet demanding environment. Mrs. Jackson received her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Music and Communication from Marylhurst University, Oregon. Prior to moving to Texas, Mrs. Jackson was recently the music teacher for PK-8 at St. Cecilia School in Beaverton, Oregon. She also spent five years as the conductor of the Portland Adventist String Orchestra and Opus Strings based out of the Portland Adventist Academy High School in outer SE Portland. Mrs. Jackson has also spent many years playing violin and viola professionally throughout Oregon and has performed in Austria, Prague, Vienna, Portugal and Spain. Outside of music, Mrs. Jackson is a lover of books, flowers and gardening. After getting married in the early summer of 2017, she and her new husband and teenage step-son moved to Texas. She is really excited to be joining the Founders family and getting to know all of her new students.
