Jason Caros

Mr. Caros serves as headmaster at Founders Classical Academy. He graduated from Florida State University earning a Bachelor of Arts with concentrations in History and Religion, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. In Florida, Mr. Caros was a high school history teacher and a district-level curriculum administrator for more than fifteen years. In 2011-12, he was selected by Hillsdale College’s Barney Charter School Initiative and Responsive Education Solutions to serve as the first headmaster of Founders Classical Academy of Lewisville. Under Mr. Caros’s leadership, the school opened in the fall of 2012 with kindergarten through tenth grade classes and an enrollment of 450 students. In the spring of 2015, Founders graduated its first senior class and the current enrollment stands at just over 900 students with a large annual waiting list. Mr. Caros feels blessed to serve as the school headmaster, and attributes the growth and success of the school to the efforts of an excellent faculty and staff, supportive parents, dedicated students, and the work of its parent organization and institution, Responsive Ed and Hillsdale College. Mr. Caros is passionate about teaching and learning; as part of his daily headmaster duties, he loves to teach his high school Western Civilization I class. He is a hot cocoa connoisseur and a lover of great books. Mr. Caros lives in Flower Mound with his lovely wife and children; his daughter is a Founders alumna and his son attends Founders.
