Mr. Matteoli teaches Euclidean Geometry, AP Latin, and Moral Philosophy and serves as chair of the Latin department. He achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Thomas Aquinas College and a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Dallas, where he is currently enrolled in the Ph.D philosophic studies program. He has focused academically on the Latin-speaking philosophers and theologians Thomas Aquinas and Augustine. This is his fourth year teaching at Founders, and he says it’s the best job he has ever had. He really does enjoy reading Latin prose and poetry for fun, but he also likes kayaking, coffee, and a good cribbage game. He also enjoys punning—much to his students’ chagrin.
